Hello, we are Kombo!

Kombo is, above all, a team of travel enthusiasts who work (secretly) to make ticket searching simpler. With over 4 million users, the platform has been allowing you to compare and book train, bus, plane, and carpooling tickets since 2016.

But we don't just sell tickets! We also take care of you throughout your journey. This includes a customer service based in France, easily reachable 7 days a week, as well as many little tips and features developed to make your life easier. For example, tickets available on your phone or automatic reimbursement in case of delays or cancellations.

What are the ticket prices for traveling on Intercity train?

On the Intercity trains you have 3 fares to choose from, which vary based on flexibility and the travel class chosen:

Base

The Base ticket allows you to have maximum flexibility. You can change the name, date and time of your ticket for free an unlimited number of times before departure. After departure, and until the next hour, you can request the change only once. If you cancel the trip you are entitled to a refund with a 20% deduction. The Base fare has different price ranges and the seats available in each price range are limited.

Economy

Trenitalia Economy fare tickets offer you savings and flexibility. It is also possible to change the departure date or time only once until the train departs, by choosing a ticket for the same train category or service level and paying the difference compared to the price of the previous one. You can also change your name at no additional cost and as many times as you want, up until the train leaves. There are no refunds if you wish to cancel your ticket

Super Economy

Trenitalia's Super Economy fare tickets are by far the cheapest tickets, but also the least flexible: neither changes nor refunds nor access to a train other than the one booked is permitted. Simply put, if you don't take the train you booked, you lose your ticket. The only change allowed is that of the name.
