Student ticket: You will only find these WestBahn tickets on the internet, purchase on the train is not permitted. The WestBahn student ticket is available for students studying at Austrian universities. This WestBahn student ticket offers you a 10% discount. This type of ticket is also available on Deutsche Bahn trains .
WestBahn Plus ticket: The WestBahn plus is the ideal choice for business travelers or those who enjoy very comfortable journeys. During your trip you will enjoy a fast internet connection, but also a classic local newspaper as well as plenty of space for your legs and your suitcases. For even more comfortable travel, you can also reach Austria by plane, in particular by Lufthansa or Ryanair.

What is the validity date of my WestBahn tickets?
Standard WestBahn tickets are valid for 12 months and can be used for all trains. Other tickets are part of your situation-specific fares and can only be used in the situation you purchased them for. This is a unique WestBahn service and is not offered on Thalys or Eurowings journeys .
What are the cancellation policies on WestBahn trains?
The WestBahn strives to make your life and journey easier. Your WestBahn trip is 100% cancellable and refundable up to 24 hours before your departure. If you want to cancel a WestBahn ticket within 24 hours of departure, cancellation fees will be charged depending on the type of journey and the ticket you have selected, just like for the SNCF.
